






SHANGHAI, Jun 8 (SMM) –Construction aluminium extrusion: The PMI for the sector stood at 46.8 in May. The sector has headed into the traditional off-season. The index for production and new orders was 48.9 and 40.6 respectively. The index for purchasing volume and raw material inventory was 49 and 45 respectively. The index for supplier delivery time was 50.4. The PMI will remain below 50 in June as the off-season deepens.
Industrial aluminium extrusion: The PMI for the sector stood at 53 in May. The index for production and new orders recorded 57.2 and 55.9 respectively. Orders for photovoltaic extrusion and automotive extrusion declined slightly, but orders for other extrusion were relatively stable. In the second half of May, industrial aluminium extruders cut purchases due to bearish sentiment on aluminium prices. The index for purchase volume and raw material inventory recorded 40.5 and 47 respectively. Affected by the off-season, the PMI may slip below 50 in June.
